Musical Partners
Together with cellist Martin Löhr and pianist Eckart Heiligers, Ulf Schneider forms the award-winning Trio Jean Paul that has garnered high praise on the international music scene. Their extensive concert schedule has allowed the trio to regularly tour Europe, Asia, and Australia as well as North and South America for more than twenty years, all with its original members.
Another important aspect of Ulf Schneider’s musical life is the repertoire for violin and piano, where he has enjoyed long-standing and inspiring musical partnerships with pianists Stephan Imorde and Jan Philip Schulze.
Furthermore, he is interested in thematically diverse programs, especially in those illuminating the special relationship between music and literature. In reading-concerts, he cooperates with actors such as Martina Gedeck, Fritzi Haberlandt, Gudrun Landgrebe, Sophie von Kessel, Julia Stemberger, Sabine Wackernagel, Angela Winkler, Rufus Beck, Stephan Benson, Heikko Deutschmann, Stefan Kurt, Stefan Hunstein and Jannek Petri.
Ulf Schneider also shares his love for string chamber music with artistic partners and fellow musicians of the Bartholdy-Quintet: Anke Dill, Barbara Westphal, Volker Jacobsen and Gustav Rivinius.
